Pieter Henket is a Dutch photographer living and working in New York City. His images, an encounter between his eyes and the eyes of his characters, form a comprehensible narrative that's simply (in his own words) 'dead-on hip.' An autodidact, Henket has worked with the likes of Angelica Houston, Mary Kate Olson, Sir Ben Kingsley, Nelly, and Lady Gaga for whom Henket captured the image of her debut album “The Fame”. This iconic image was recently included in the American Woman exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. He mixes fashion with pop and pop with art. Pieter Henket’s primary gallery is situated in Utrecht and goes by the name of Flatland gallery.
