Tomoe Murakami (b. 1980, Japan) studied Art and Literature at Waseda University, Tokyo. She started out as a research assistant at the highly-acclaimed Photography Centre of the Tokyo University of Arts, and became an assistant professor in 2010. Murakami has had numerous solo shows in Japan, including 'Photo Particles', 'I Imagine' and 'Stars and Water' at the Shinjuku Nikon Salon in Tokyo. She was warded the first prize at the Art of Photography Show in San Diego in 2010, and was selected as a FOAM Talent for 2012. She is currently working on her personal projects, one of which is shown here: Invisible.
